Make it Monday

Well, I haven't been so productive getting things completed in a timely manner...but, finally I have a new item finished for today.
This capelet was made for a 7 year old birthday girl. Madeline is modelling it for me.

Austentatious Crochet: 36 Contemporary Designs from the World of Jane Austen

This pattern is called the "Off to Bath Capelet" and is a quick fun project. My daughter Grace (12 years old) has made one already and is working on another! My older daughters are thinking to make the pattern larger because it is so charming...and my girls wear things like this :) (shouldn't be too difficult of a modification)

  1. I absolutely love this cape! Just last week I found a pattern for a similar (adult sized) cape that I plan to make to wear to a charity ball/ceilidh my husband and I are attending at the end of the month - I haven't got a dress yet, but you have to start somewhere!

I love the look of the book too and am off to check it out!

  2. Those are so pretty! I don't crochet or knit....or sew for that matter, but I like people who do!

  3. Oh how beautiful! Your really must get thee an Etsy shop, Keri!

  4. That is beautiful and quite impressive!

  5. This is gorgeous! So happy to see you at Tangled Happy today Keri. Off to do a bit of browsing. Happy Tuesday! :)

  6. Ditto all the above comments -- it's beautiful! I bought the same book for my DIL for Christmas and may need to borrow it from her...

  7. Oh, it's just gorgeous! My goodness, you create beautiful things! What a blessing to be able to do this and gift others w/ your talent!

  8. Lovely, Keri! I wish I had some of that talent!

Austentations! I like that name.... very cleaver is it not?

  9. Hi Keri,
What a sweet capelet and the little model is adorable! She is as pretty as a picture! Thank you for your visit and your lovely comment. Hope you have a delightful weekend.

  10. Very pretty. Both the model and capelet. I would wear it, too.
