Three beautiful young ladies...
Heading on an adventure overseas...
Made it safely to their first destination...
Still smiling!
That's my girl!....Look out France....Germany.....and Scotland!
Hello! Thanks for visiting! My name is Keri and I am a Christian - saved by grace, I am a happily married, homeschooling mom of 10 wonderful children, living in the beautiful northwest corner of the US.
Exciting adventure! :)
ReplyDeleteI was 18 when I headed off--by myself--to Israel. I met up with a group from my college while I was there, but I had to make the trip over by myself because I was in a wedding here in the States a few days after the scheduled departure. At the time, it was exciting...a little nerve-wracking...but absolutely thrilling. Now that I'm a mom, I think, "Why in the world did my parents let me do such a crazy thing???" ;-)
ReplyDeleteI pray that when my turn comes to let my little birdies fly off into the big world, I do it as gracefully as you are doing. :)
My husband laughed when he read this...he frequently says of his parents, "What were they thinking letting me do ..."
DeleteAs we got to the airport to see them off, we found out that the Paris air-traffic controllers were on strike...and their destination was..Paris! The adventure began.....
If it weren't so obvious that the Lord was overseeing this adventure, I couldn't have let her go...
Though I AM able to giggle at the "suprises" along the way...so far... I'm sure it will be a less stressful giggle after she is home!
:)
DeleteHow exciting indeed! Your daughter is a true beauty.
ReplyDeletePraying protection for Sarah and the others! What memories they'll have! :)
ReplyDeleteMy oldest son went on a mission trip to Russia, Mongolia and China when he was 17. He went with a group.. but it is still hard to let them go in any situation isn't it. This looks like quite an adventure, and I am looking forward to hearing and seeing more updates. Such a lovely
ReplyDeletedaughter you have. Will keep her in my prayers.
Blessings,
Pam
Pam,
DeleteThey are actually going on a tour (http://bondvoyage.webs.com/reformationtour.htm) to visit reformation sights in France, Germany, and Switzerland. That was the catalyst to get them there. Then, I have a sis who is a missionary south of Paris (which is there first stop), friends in Germany (right after the tour) and then they are making their way to the Isle of Lewis to visit/meet Anne and Kirsteen (who will be there on holiday!) So...that ends up being 7 weeks of fun! Thank you for the prayers! They are anticipating meeting many people that they hope to have a good witness to!
Oh my! Now I'm REALLY excited for her!! :) All of it sounds great, but meeting Anne and Kirsteen is definitely the cherry on top!! :)
DeleteSo looking forward to meeting her and her friends when they hit our shores! :0)
ReplyDeleteWe are so excited that she gets to meet you face to face, Kirsteen! Just thrilled!
DeleteWow! I hope they have a great time! Exciting adventure!
ReplyDeleteah! wow! awesome! will my babies want to go overseas one day...?
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Hope they enjoy!
