Just today...

Four of my sweet littles are playing legos on the dining room table....

Also in my dining room stands this...

Which is a new addition our family! My sweet friend, who needed to move it out of her home, gave it to me. I think it is beautiful. I love the wavy glass look, the latches, the tongue and groove oak, the chipped paint inside, the solidness of it!... She was told that it is from the 1860ish time period, and that seems to be confirmed by any who've seen it. I'd been looking for a china hutch, but in my home, there isn't much wall space. We have an abundance of windows - for which we are grateful - but that makes finding such pieces of furninture a bit of a challenge. Amazingly, this hutch fit perfectly! Thank you dear friend!

  1. YEAH!!! What a beautiful piece of furniture and it does fit there wonderfully!!!

We love lego's too. It's an every day thing around here!

  2. Oh, what a beautiful and functional piece of furniture! It looks lovely!

  3. That is definitely a beautiful piece of furniture. I've got a china cabinet and it takes pride of place in our home:) They truly make the room look 'classy' don't they, lol!

  4. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. Really nice to meet you. Wow you homeschool 10 children - amazing!! I am thinking of doing it when my children get to high school age but as you can imagine it is not done as much over here in the UK so takes some thinking about. xx

  5. That is one beautiful hutch! And to own a piece of history, that's pretty neat! I love it! What a generous friend! What a blessing that it fits just right!

Looks like those kiddos are having a blast! You have such a beautiful family!

  6. Ahh, Lego! I'm thinking of buying shares in the stuff we have so much of it in our house :0) Not a day goes by without someone playing with it!

I love your china cabinet too!

  9. What a beautiful hutch! So glad it fits.

Legos are a wonderful invention, aren't they? My kids have all loved them growing up, and my twins still play with them for hours. I'm sure my vacuum has "eaten" more than a few over the years though :-)
    Have a glorious Easter!

  10. What a sweet blog you have:)
    I love your new cabinet!

I'm looking forward to visiting again soon!

  11. Love the legoss; I miss having my kids at the age of playing with legos. We still have a pretty hefty size bucket waiting for the grandkids to get big enough to play with them. Also love the new hutch. Wow is that something. Love that old wavy glass as well. Such a treasure. I am very happy for you.

Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter.
    Much Love,
