Good Friends Good Fun!

We invited a family over for dinner and games the other evening....the parents were out of town, and the two oldest children weren't available - so, 7 kiddos ranging in age from 6 up to 22ish (sorry old are you?) came and ate hot dogs and played volley ball, then when the sun went down, it was inside to.........

Settlers of CATAN

Have you ever had 12 people playing this game? (Gregg and I sat more room!)

The straw hat on James was brought in so that people could remember whose turn it was!...That's right, they kept forgetting who was actually taking their turn....amazing.

We had a great time...and if this isn't one of your family games....put it on your list! It's a lot of fun!

  1. I've never heard of it (although my husband has)... I wonder if it's available here?
As for the straw hat - I love it! What a brilliant idea! We sometimes forget whose turn it is and there's usually only FOUR of us!!!!! :)

  2. We love that game! We also love Ticket to Ride, Tsuro, Dixit, Lost Cities and many many more! We dedicate an entire wall in our office to stacked up board games. Such fun!

  3. This game is so much fun. It is a game that I can even get interested in. [o= So many playing there at your house, WOW! That must have been a exciting game and I can understand on forgetting who is play scenario, lol. With all the wheeling and dealing going on it is easy to forget.

    Blessings and ((HUGS))!

  4. i've never heard of that game!
sounds like a lot of fun, we had family game night last night! can't beat go fish with a 4 year old! :D

  5. Looks like a lot of fun Keri. :)

  6. The first time I ever played that game, my mind wouldn't turn off at bedtime and I dreamed about buildings and cities and strategy. I couldn't escape Catan! It was awful! I think I must have been concentrating too deeply or something. LOL!!

  7. I never saw this game, but it sure looks like one our family would enjoy.

  8. Looks like great family time although playing this game with my very bright sons-in-law in not an easy task. All of that thinking hurts my brain :)

Thank you for your kind words on my blog today!!!
