"Jesus Is All the World to Me"

My sweet 1st grade class that consists of my 7yr. old son, and two 5yr. old daughters, is singing this song for tea today. I am praying that they will know it to be true in their hearts, not only their minds.

Jesus is all the world to me, my life, my joy, my all;
He is my strength from day to day, without Him I would fall.
When I am sad, to Him I go, no other one can cheer me so;
When I am sad, He makes me glad, He’s my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, my Friend in trials sore;
I go to Him for blessings, and He gives them over and o’er.
He sends the sunshine and the rain, He sends the harvest’s golden grain;
Sunshine and rain, harvest of grain, He’s my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, and true to Him I’ll be;
O how could I this Friend deny, when He’s so true to me?
Following Him I know I’m right, He watches o’er me day and night;
Following Him by day and night, He’s my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, I want no better Friend;
I trust Him now, I’ll trust Him when life’s fleeting days shall end.
Beautiful life with such a Friend, beautiful life that has no end;
Eternal life, eternal joy, He’s my Friend.

  1. Dear Keri,

    Thank you so much for stopping by my blog...it was so nice to have you visit! I love this picture of your children...I take it the girls are twins! I have twins sons as well, a bit older though, they are 24! We also have a 16 year old son, whom we are still homeschooling. The pictures in your previous post of all of your children are so precious...I am from a family of ten children...such a blessing!

    I wanted to also comment on your latest crochet project...what a wonderful idea! Do you have an etsy site? I would love to see some of the other crafts you've created.

    I love the song that your children were singing during tea time...such precious memories. What a gift it is to be able to share the love of Jesus with our children...there is nothing more important than this!

    Have a blessed day!

  2. Hello Keri!
    I'm back again...just wanted to answer the question you had about the backing of the table runner using the quilt as you go method. If you take a look on my blog...then click on my etsy site...there is a picture of the backing. You don't need to do anything to the backing because as you finish each square, and then sew them together...it takes care of the backing as well. It is much easier to understand if you see the pictures. Also, you might check out the tutorial link that I posted...it was really helpful for me! I'm thinking of starting another project soon...a much bigger one!

    Have a blessed Sunday!

  3. Still loving the thought of you and your family having tea on Fridays and I love that each should have a song or a poem.... it just warms my heart. Also, like Laura above, I just realized you have twin girls. I too have twin girls.... it must be twin club day. Mine like Laura's are older... 26. They are 2 precious blessings to me. I have 5 other blessings as well. The twins married brothers and have made me a grandma 3 times over between them...one of my sons has 2 so now that is five. I miss them all being home. I greatly miss having tea time with them. They often have tea with each other on Skype, which I love to hear about, and feel blessed that it is a happy ritual they still long to keep. I can imagine your doing like-wise.

    Oh well, enough about me... this is your blog. I love the crocheted Keri-on (smile), below... I am aspiring to be so good at crocheting. That is absolutely beautiful. Would love to hear more about it.

    Many Blessings to you and your lovely family.
    Pam

  4. This song brings back such good memories, my mother sang it often when I was a child, as she worked around the house. Love this post, and the thought of your families tea time on Fridays.
